What is a Flower Share?
A Flower Share or Flower CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)  is a flower subscription; you pay for ahead of time and pick up a fresh flower bouquet each week, all summer long!
Benefit to farmer:

· Farmer has an opportunity to get to know the people who buy the flowers they grow

· Farmer can spend time marketing in off season, before the long days in the field begin

· Farmer receives payment in the off season, which helps with the farm's cash flow

Benefit for customer:

· Customer is Guaranteed fresh flowers every week even if Farm Stand is Closed

· Customer gets access to extremely-fresh flowers

· Customer gets exposed to new varieties of flowers

· Customer enjoys the beauty of flowers in their home or office

· Customer usually get to visit the farm at least once a season

· Customer gets opportunity to develop a relationship with the farmer who grows their flowers and learn more about local agriculture

How long does the Flower Share last?
Our Summer Flower Share lasts 6 weeks long! It will start on July 18, 2024, and end on August 22, 2024.

What are the Flower Share options and pricing?

One Large Hand Tied Bouquet - Locally grown, in season, farm fresh flowers, wrapped in paper.

How do I sign up for a Flower Share?

How often and when do I pick up my share?
You pick up your Flower Share weekly on Thursday’s from 7am-7pm.

Where do I pick up my Flower Share? 
Grab your Flower Share on the farm. Luck of Bolton Farm, 344 West Street, Bolton, CT 06043.

·      Drive up to garage (1st building on your left)

·      Walk right in. There will be tables with buckets of bouquets for you to grab.

·      Please refrain from touching all the bouquets while deciding which one to grab-thank you

·      Please cross your name off the list on the table, so I know you have picked up your share.

·      Myself or my husband Alan, my Mother Karen or my father Fred may be here as well. I am sure you’ll get to meet them Oh and Maple the Farm dog might greet you as well!

What kinds of flowers will be in my Flower Share? 
As the season progresses the bouquets will progress to reflect what is in season on the farm. 

Some of the flowers you can expect to see in your flower share this summer include sunflowers, zinnias, gomphrena, lisianthus, ageratum, celosia, rudbeckia, dahlias, statice, verbena, strawflower, etc.

Can I request a specific flower in my bouquet?

·      Trust Heidi to pick the freshest, in-season and beautiful blooms for you.

·      If you would like to order an additional bouquets of special request flowers just call Heidi-860-402-2744.

Where do the flowers come from?
All of the flowers you see in your Flower Share are grown locally within the state of Connecticut. Most flowers are grown on our farm, Luck of Bolton Farm, but we also partner with other flower farms from time-to-time to source flowers to meet commitments.

How long will the flowers last?
Each type of flower has a different vase life, or how long you can expect it to last in the vase. You can improve the vase life of your bouquet by:

·      Adding water daily.

·      Changing all of the vase water daily or every other day.

·      Trimming the stems every few days.

·      Keeping vase out of direct sunlight.

·      Keeping vase in a cool place away from air vents.

·      Keeping flowers away from ripening fruit.

·      Keeping flowers out of reach from Children & Pets!!

You can typically expect the flower bouquet to last a week or more if cared for properly! 


Can I gift a Flower Share?
Of course! We love it when customers want to gift flowers. What a wonderful surprise that would be to receive a whole summer's worth of fresh flowers.

Do you deliver Flower Shares?
We do not deliver at this time. Please pick up your share from the farm.

What if I am out of town one week and can't pick up?

·      If you are unable to pick up your bouquet, please make arrangements to have someone else to pick them up for you.

·      No extending subscriptions or taking an extra bouquet the following week.

·      We make just enough so each customer gets one bouquet per week.

·      Bouquets that are not picked up will be donated.

Flower Share dates are subject to date changes as Mother Nature is ultimately in charge! Any changes will be communicated to customer.
